Back Beach Life

From family to friends, there is an entire community of mums who surround me and who have supported Back Beach Rd in various ways.

I remember the days when bras were uncomfortable and the ones I owned didn't fit me properly. It wasn't until my late 20's I really started to understand what it felt like to have a bra that was made for me! 

I grapple with the concept of what it means to have individual needs (or special needs as is often called). My daughter's needs are described in this way and there is stigma around it.

Today is Unity Day! A day for wearing orange to show unity for kindness, acceptance, inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying. 

As a brand we talk about striving to find purpose and meaning as we go along this journey. What does that mean exactly? To be truthful, when I first started Back Beach Rd I didn't know. 

In Australia we all pretty much know Mother's Day is the second weekend in May but when it comes to Father's Day, we're thinking... is it the first weekend in September or the second?!!

Today, 14th January 2021 (one of my best friends birthdays... Happy Birthday Nat!) marks the launch of our website.
